01 ABOUT ME

MY JOURNEY

Skyla on the track at golden hour
SKYLA BLIGNAUTGR.11 — CLASS OF 2027

My passion for track and field began in Grade 1 and has remained a constant throughout my life. What started as a love for running quickly developed into something much greater — a sport that has shaped my character, strengthened my mindset and helped me discover who I am.

When I entered high school, I made the decision to take my athletics more seriously. I committed myself to improving both physically and mentally, and through that commitment, my love for the sport grew even stronger. Track and field has become more than just a sport to me; it is a place where I can challenge myself, push beyond my limits, and strive to become the best version of myself.

Through athletics I have learned discipline, perseverance and resilience. The sport has introduced me to incredible people, unforgettable experiences, and valuable life lessons. It has taught me that success is earned through hard work, consistency and determination — and that setbacks are opportunities to grow.

Track and field is unique because there are no shortcuts. Every performance reflects the effort, dedication and preparation that happens behind the scenes.

It is a sport that demands commitment, and in return, it builds character. Through the challenges and triumphs I have experienced, I have discovered a strength within myself that extends far beyond the track.

Today, athletics is more than a passion — it's a goal, a purpose, and a career path I am determined to pursue. I am committed to continuing my development as both an athlete and an individual, and I look forward to representing future teams, achieving new milestones, and inspiring others through my journey.
